Practical Information for Getting Married on Curaçao

Before you can get married in Curaçao, you must file a marriage declaration. This declaration is also called a notice of marriage.

Do you already have a wedding date in mind? Then you should consider that according to the law there must be at least two weeks (14 days) between the marriage declaration (notice of marriage) and the date of the wedding. You can get the notice of marriage up to one year before your marriage. The notice of marriage is therefore valid for a maximum of one year.
